Snowboard Luge

Ok, sitting here watching the Olympics and I have an inspiration for a new sport.   Snowboard Luge.  Pretty simple really, using the luge track, probably from further down than the real luge start, you ride the track on a snowboard.  i think that'd be hella exciting :D now to find who can make that happen...

The Joys of Snow

Yeah, I'm weird. We've gotten a ridiculous amount of snow over the past week and I'm loving it. Shoveling first thing in the morning in a blizzard is great. This morning, the sky was clear and bright blue, the sun coming up lighting up the few clouds in an awesome orange. The cars are clear, neighbors are jealous because our cars will be free and clear, our spaces dry, before they even get out of bed. The best part about snow like this? Driving. Having the ability to rally a Grand Am around the beltway without fear of a po-po cramping my style brings a smile to my face. Hitting slush and having it go squirrelly for a second makes the heart pump and I giggle, just a little. We're supposed to get more snow in a couple of days and they're definitely running out of places to put it. We had two plows, two bobcats and a backhoe working on the complex and now there are a bunch of piles that are 10+ feet tall. It's awesome. I want to burrow in them and make a snow villa. I wish that I had a truck so that I could go punching through the snow walls that the plows are leaving. Am I a 5 year old trapped in a 30 year old body? Absolutely. :D

An amusing story, snow related of course:
